About The Position
The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) is seeking a Part-Time Instructor for Continuing Education to teach classes at various CSN campus locations throughout the Las Vegas Valley. Classes typically run for 4-8 weeks, one to two days a week, for 2-3 hours per class. Instruction is primarily during evening hours, with some Saturday morning classes available. The role involves teaching assignments, meeting with students outside of class, and maintaining student records.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
- Experience teaching.
- Comprehensive understanding of customer service principles and practices.
- Student-centered / listening / verbal communication / organizational skills.
- Familiarity with adult education administration and student services.
- Possess organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

- Experience working with a diverse/multicultural student body and/or workforce.
Responsibilities
- Teaching assignments.
- Meeting and assisting students outside of class time.
- Maintaining a sign-in sheet, recording attendance, and maintaining a pass/fail grade report for students per class.
