About The Position

Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC), a multi-campus institution in Upstate NY, is seeking experienced, dynamic, capable, creative, and caring individuals to join their team. This full-time probationary position is for the Fall 2026 semester in the STEM/Computer Sciences and Mathematics Department at the Troy, New York campus. Applicants must be U.S. Citizens or U.S. Lawful Permanent Residents, and appointment is contingent upon a background check. HVCC does not support Visas.

Requirements

• Master’s or higher degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Industry experience.
• Experience teaching cybersecurity, computer science, and mathematics courses at the post-secondary level.
• Demonstrated teaching expertise.
• Daytime, in-person availability required.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Must be either a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident of the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Specialization in Cybersecurity or a related field is desirable.
• Experience with robotics, including industrial robotics, or Artificial Intelligence, is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom and on-line instruction in Computer Science and/or Mathematics courses within the department.
• Evaluate student performance.
• Participation in departmental, division wide, and college wide committees for the purpose of building community.
• Professional development is encouraged and supported.
• At the direction of the Department Chairperson, faculty shall perform duties as specified in the Faculty Contract.
