About The Position

The Department of Biological Sciences at LSU New Orleans is anticipating hiring a non-tenured, full-time instructor beginning in the Spring 2027 semester, with a start date of January 6, 2027. The position involves teaching 12 hours per semester in various formats, including face-to-face, hybrid, and online (synchronous or asynchronous). Instruction will primarily be at the introductory level and may include sections for majors and non-majors. Other responsibilities may include laboratory instruction and coordination and/or dual enrollment administration.

Requirements

• Doctoral Degree in Biology or related area.
• Excellent instruction, communication, and management skills.
• Demonstrated success in teaching large-enrollment classes.
• Proficiency with educational technology, assessment tools, and learning management systems.
