About The Position

Bloomfield College of Montclair State University seeks a dynamic Nursing educator with specializations in adult medical and surgical areas to join their team as a one-year, full-time, temporary Instructor/Assistant Professor in the Frances M. Mclaughlin Nursing Program. The position involves a 24-credit teaching load, including didactic and clinical sections, with additional expectations for advising undergraduate majors, service to the program, and continued professional development. The Nursing program is known for its high student licensure rates and is highly regarded in the state. The university is committed to supporting teaching faculty through promotion and professional development opportunities. This is a one-year, ten-month, temporary, non-tenure track (NTT) appointment.

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse license
  • Master of Science in Nursing with experience in adult medical surgical nursing care for Instructor designation
  • Doctorate required for Assistant Professor designation
  • Experience and demonstrated success in teaching students in a classroom or junior staff clinical settings
  • Record of success teaching in a diverse environment
