About The Position

This is an 11-month position for an Instructor required to be an RN Nurse. The role involves teaching Health Careers, specifically focusing on CNA Certification, for the 2026-2027 academic year. The position is open until filled.

Requirements

• Must be an RN Nurse.
• Graduate of an accredited college or university.
• Possess or be eligible to acquire appropriate license(s) and/or endorsement(s) for the position as required by the Virginia Department of Education and School Board.
• Thorough knowledge of subject(s) taught.
• Thorough knowledge of elementary, secondary or special education principles, practices and procedures.
• Thorough knowledge of the principles and methodology of effective teaching.
• Thorough knowledge of school division rules, regulations and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Teach Health Careers, including CNA Certification.
• Deliver articulate oral presentations.
• Prepare written reports.
• Establish and maintain standards of behavior in the classroom.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, students, administration, and parents.
