About The Position

Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC), a multi-campus institution in scenic Upstate NY, is seeking experienced, dynamic, capable, creative, and caring individuals to join its Faculty team. Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling or other related field from an accredited college or university
  • At least three years of experience in the field.
  • Unrestricted employment authorization to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

  • Prior college level teaching experience
  • CASAC and/or equivalent education and experience
  • Experience teaching online, hybrid and in person classes
  • Daytime and evening availability

Responsibilities

  • Provide classroom and on-line instruction in Addictions Counseling/Human Services.
  • Evaluate student performance and complete assessment as required by the college.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on course and program development as well as transfer course review.
  • Visit internship sites on a regular basis at the direction of the Department Chairperson. (This involves travel throughout the Capital District)
  • At the direction of the Department Chairperson, faculty shall perform duties as specified in the Faculty Contract.
  • Participation in departmental, division wide, and college wide committees for the purpose of building community and fulfilling aspirations of professional development is encouraged and supported.
  • At the direction of the Department Chairperson, faculty shall perform duties as specified in the Faculty Contract.
