About The Position

This position is responsible for delivering quality instruction in Accounting. The instructor will teach courses on-ground at the assigned campus/instructional site/work location. Other instructional delivery modes, such as online, hybrid or web-enhanced, taught from the assigned campus/instructional site/work location, may be assigned based on operational needs. The instructor will work with course leads and/or program coordinators/directors to ensure consistent student experiences, utilize the college’s learning management system, and maintain and submit updated department syllabi. Responsibilities include responding to emails within 24 hours (except weekends), completing required reports, engaging in departmental institutional effectiveness activities, submitting final grades by the registrar's deadline, and potentially serving as an academic advisor. Compliance with all college and TBR policies and guidelines is required.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Accounting; OR Master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Accounting Topics and a current CPA license.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver quality instruction in Accounting.
  • Teach courses on-ground at the assigned campus/instructional site/work location.
  • Teach courses using other instructional delivery modes (online, hybrid, web-enhanced) from the assigned campus/instructional site/work location, as assigned.
  • Work with course leads and/or program coordinators/directors to ensure consistent student experiences.
  • Utilize the college’s learning management system to provide course materials to students.
  • Maintain and submit updated department syllabi prior to the first day of class.
  • Regularly check College email and departmental mailbox.
  • Respond to emails/messages within 24 hours except on the weekend.
  • Complete all required reports such as student engagement, Early Alerts, progress reports, grade submissions.
  • Administer and return surveys and student outcome assessments by the required deadlines.
  • Engage in departmental institutional effectiveness activities.
  • Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the registrar.
  • Work with students as academic advisor as assigned.
  • Comply with all college and TBR policies and guidelines.
