About The Position

Instructors needed for ABE/GED and ESOL classes. Morning and evening positions available; 4 - 6 hours per week. Salary is dependent upon education and experience. Due to the need of interaction with students, employees and college community, this position requires in person presence.

Requirements

• Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree.
• Proficient in technology
• Must have ability to teach basic math

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Education preferred
• Experience teaching adults and/or working with disadvantaged population preferred
• Must have excellent written and oral skills

Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing appropriate instruction in a multi-level class.
• Utilize individual student test results and goal setting documents to provide individualized instruction.
• Develop and maintain individual student plans and folders.
• Administer appropriate post-testing to eligible students.
• Provide appropriate group lessons, activities, and assignments.
• Attend all required program, state and college trainings and meetings.
• Make recommendations for materials and book purchases when appropriate.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
