ABOUT STUDY SMART TUTORS:

Study Smart Tutors is a college and career access organization that collaborates with partners to promote educational equity, access, and success by providing a diverse range of tools for students, families, and educators. Our mission is grounded in closing opportunity gaps and empowering communities through high-quality, culturally responsive academic support.

We offer an array of college access courses at no cost to our students or their families. We are able to accomplish this by partnering with schools, outreach programs, and other college and career access organizations to provide efficient and effective college and career access programming and classroom-based test preparation.

Requirements

• MUST hold a completed 4-year degree
• Teaching or tutoring experience is strongly desired
• Comfortable supporting: Test Prep Upper Math ELA Biology
• Ability to adapt quickly and manage dynamic, fast-paced environments
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within assigned region
• In-person availability is required
• Scheduled hours: Monday-Friday 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM EST
• Complete and pass a background check, which may include fingerprinting based on location.

Responsibilities

• Provide tutoring support to small and large groups of students
• Subjects to be taught: Test prep, upper Math, ELA and Biology.
• Be available for daily dispatch based on morning call-outs and staffing needs
• Accept and fulfill assignments within designated regional boundaries (New York) and defined response time expectations
• Adapt quickly to new sites, materials, lesson plans, and classroom environments
• Represent us professionally and confidently on site
• Maintain consistent communication with our staff
• Partner with our Education team to provide comprehensive learning strategies to all students
