About The Position

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Instructional Student Assistant Pool. We welcome applications from current CSUF undergraduate and graduate students in the Mechanical Engineering department to work with individual faculty for grading, tutoring, research, or instructional activities for Mechanical Engineering. This is a pool of Instructional Student Assistant for the department to draw on as necessary. Appointments from the pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term. Applicants may be offered employment on very short notice. An Instructional Student Assistant is a CSUF graduate or undergraduate student who is appointed at an hourly rate to assist with grading, tutoring, research, or instructional activities under the direct supervision of an appropriate faculty member.

Requirements

  • Current student at CSUF and is enrolled/registered (fees paid) in at least 6 units in a current regular semester as a new or continuing student.
  • Student who has completed the prior semester (has not graduated), or who is registered for the subsequent semester.
  • In good academic standing (not on academic notice or academic dismissal).
  • Student who is authorized to work in the United States and can provide eligibility documents.
  • Completed related courses such as EGCE 201, EGCE 202, EGME 304, and EGME 331 with a grade of B or better.
