About The Position
This role involves assisting students with the operation of lab equipment and software, managing the checkout and return of tools, and maintaining the lab in good working order. The position requires the ability to learn and troubleshoot specific equipment and provide strong customer service to students.
Requirements
- Learn to operate and trouble-shoot laser cutter, and 3D printers.
- Ability to provide strong customer service to support students using equipment.
- Passed EGRA 140 (Graphical Communication and Basic Making) with a B+ or better.
- Must be a regular, full-time student, enrolled in at least 12 hours per semester
- Must have a completed FAFSA on file with Financial Aid for the current academic year
Responsibilities
- Operate laser cutter and 3D printers.
- Help students on the system, maintain computers, and workspace.
- Check out tools, monitor tool use, ensure tool return, check in tools.
- Perform other duties as requested by the department.
