Montgomery College is seeking two full-time Philosophy faculty members to join their team. One position will be based out of the Germantown Campus, and the other will be based out of the Rockville Campus. Both positions are set to begin in Spring 2027. The college is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated teachers who demonstrate high professionalism, a strong commitment to students, and the ability to engage and educate effectively. The faculty members will have the chance to teach a variety of Philosophy classes in a multicultural environment, working with students of diverse learning abilities. Faculty duties encompass classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction, assessment, curriculum development, advising, professional inquiry, committee work, and the use of instructional technology. Teaching assignments may cover various formats including face-to-face, online, hybrid, and blended, offered during days, evenings, and weekends. Faculty may be assigned to teach at any of Montgomery College's multiple campuses or teach online. Faculty members are expected to teach 30 semester hours per academic year, with potential opportunities for summer courses. Additional duties include serving on various committees, advising students, leading student clubs, maintaining an active professional development program, and participating in professional organizations and activities.
