About The Position

Partner with subject-matter experts to develop and evaluate performance-based curriculum, within the WTCS framework to maintain curriculum integrity. Work in accordance with established policies, procedures, contractual agreements, and state guidelines. Provide assessment-planning support and guidance to instructional staff as needed. Requirements

  • Knowledge of performance-based curriculum/instruction, outcomes-based assessment, and knowledge of curriculum development and alignment
  • Familiarity with instructional development software, preferably the Worldwide Instructional Design System (WIDS)
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems such as Canvas
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills (oral and written)
  • Ability to manage time and organize work
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with internal (faculty and staff) and external contacts (clients and vendors)
  • Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and/or with minimal supervision
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Office software
  • Bachelor's degree in Curriculum Development/Design or related field
  • Three (3) years of teaching experience, in higher education preferred
  • Two (2) years of related non-teaching experience, preferably in education and/or curriculum development

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance and support with the development and evaluation of performance-based curriculum for new program course planning, course revision, and contracted and external projects.
  • Review, assess, and provide feedback on completed funded and assigned curriculum projects and recommend appropriate payment for funded projects.
  • Represent the College on statewide Worldwide Instructional Design System (WIDS) advisory committee and provide leadership and support in the use of WIDS at the College.
  • Provide curriculum guidance to instructional managers and faculty relative to curriculum and program design (i.e., classroom assessment techniques).
  • Provide guidance and assistance to faculty relative to developing course and program outcomes assessments.
  • Assist departments in developing assessment plans that will result in continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
  • Provide professional development related to teaching and learning pedagogy based on College, program, or department needs.
  • Maintain WTCS standards for curriculum management in accordance with Higher Learning Commission (HLC) standards.
  • Coordinate and/or develop resource materials and guidelines related to curriculum development, revision, and related planning documents to communicate WTCS and College requirements.
  • Maintain current professional/technical knowledge through professional education and activities.
  • Other job related job duties as assigned.
