Requirements

  • Apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities.
  • Apply adult learning theory and instructional design systems with effective application in an agile, fast-paced retail business setting.
  • Plan, resource, and monitor the effective delivery of learning solutions.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Starbucks' business strategy and goals and how their work contributes to success.
  • Develop learning solutions at the pace of the business.
  • Recognize potential problems before they become larger issues; solve problems effectively and follow-up on results.
  • Demonstrate excellent and flexible communication and consulting abilities cross-functionally, cross-culturally and across levels.
  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively influence others.
  • Enable open, frequent, and constructive dialogue between business functions and L&D.
  • Exhibit ability to be nimble and navigate ambiguity, while working independently and as part of a team.
  • Carefully consider multiple factors before making decisions.
  • Demonstrate ability to link business decisions to results; understand Return on Investment (ROI) of decisions/actions.
  • Bring 6+ years of experience designing curricula using adult learning principles.
  • Bring 4+ years of experience project managing and owning learning programs.
  • Bring 2+ years of experience with individual and organizational performance consulting.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with cross-functional subject matter experts and stakeholders to complete needs analysis and determine potential learning solutions.
  • Recommend innovative approaches for retail learning programs that support the company’s retail operations.
  • Collaborate with learning and development team or vendors to develop and design learning solutions.
