About The Position

SEL's in-house Learning and Development Department is seeking an experienced full-time Instructional Designer to help design, develop, and deliver innovative learning solutions that empower employees to thrive in their current and future roles. The role involves collaborating closely with subject matter experts, instructors, and other team members to create engaging training materials such as printable items, digital training modules, microlearning materials, animations, videos, infographics, and materials to support live instruction through in-person or virtual training.

Requirements

  • Experience as a full-time Instructional Designer.
  • Ability to design, develop, and deliver innovative learning solutions.
  • Experience collaborating with subject matter experts, instructors, and team members.
  • Proficiency in creating engaging training materials (printable items, digital training modules, microlearning materials, animations, videos, infographics, etc.).
  • Experience with e-learning modules, training videos, and interactive modules.
  • Ability to utilize feedback to improve learning content.
  • Knowledge of instructional design methodologies.
  • Skill in incorporating multimedia elements, graphics, and interactive components.
  • Ability to adapt and repurpose existing content.
  • Commitment to staying updated on industry trends and best practices in instructional design.
  • Experience conducting assessments and evaluations to measure training effectiveness.
  • Ability to provide guidance and support to subject matter experts and instructors.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify learning needs and objectives.
  • Outline, storyboard, and deliver engaging instructional materials, including e-learning modules, training videos, interactive modules, and more.

  • Apply instructional design methodologies to create learner-centric content that maximizes engagement and knowledge retention.
  • Incorporate multimedia elements, graphics, and interactive components to enhance learning experiences.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in instructional design and incorporate them into training programs.
