About The Position

At Regions, the Home Improvement Financing Instructional Designer designs and develops training programs that help home improvement contractor clients increase sales. The programs build the skills of business owners, sales managers, sales professionals, and office administrators. The role analyzes performance needs and creates learning content using sound instructional design principles and best practices. Regions Home Improvement Financing partners with home-improvement manufacturers, distributors, franchisors, trade groups, and independent contractors to provide point-of-sale financing capabilities. The position supports contractor partners and internal sales teams through learning programs that drive adoption, proficiency, and performance. It leads role-based onboarding, certification, and continuous learning programs, and works with business leaders to address performance gaps with scalable solutions aligned to sales, customer, and organizational objectives. The Instructional Designer contributes to the Sales Enablement function through learning strategies, performance analytics, and continuous improvement. The position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay. It may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, education, or a related field and four years of instructional systems/curriculum design or related experience; or an associate degree in instructional design, education, or a related field and six years of related experience; or a high school diploma or GED and eight years of business development or related experience.
Experience administering a learning management system (LMS).
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge of multi-technical writing tools.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate 360, PowerPoint, and Prezi.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Meet with subject matter experts and appropriate senior leaders to identify and meet the Bank’s training needs.
Conduct needs assessments and develop training content focused on results-based outcomes for home improvement contractor clients.
Write learning objectives and identify learning strategies.
Write and storyboard instructional content.
Develop on-demand and instructor-led training courses for varied learning populations.
Use Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate 360, PowerPoint, Prezi, and Bridge LMS to conceptualize, design, deploy, and track training curriculum.
Design creative, high-quality learning solutions using adult learning principles and methods to improve performance and meet clients’ business needs.
Perform quality checks to ensure content is error-free before presentation to management and clients.
Remain flexible and perform ad-hoc training responsibilities as business needs change.
Evaluate program and curriculum effectiveness using predetermined metrics.
Design and deliver learning programs supporting contractor partners and internal sales teams, driving adoption, proficiency, and performance.
Lead development of role-based onboarding, certification, and continuous learning programs to accelerate readiness and time-to-productivity.
Partner with business leaders to identify performance gaps and develop scalable learning solutions aligned with sales, customer, and organizational objectives.
Contribute to the evolution of Sales Enablement through innovative learning strategies, performance analytics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
