About The Position

Develops online learning modules, instructor-led training materials and other learning content in collaboration with PMO, Marketing, and the Instructional Design team. The Instructional Designer will use interpersonal, written and visual communication skills and partner with Subject Matter Experts to create learning content. This position can be based in Orlando, St. Petersburg, or Ft. Lauderdale.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, or a related field from an accredited college or university and one year of experience in a training environment or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience.
  • Ability to analyze, research and apply problem-solving skills – identifies and defines problems, collects data, establishes facts, and draws logical and valid conclusions
  • Ability to organize work for timely completion
  • Ability to follow complex oral and written instructions
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Ability to commute with personal transportation
  • Knowledge of adult learning theories and training methodologies
  • Experience in design and delivery of training solutions to organizations through learning technologies and online authoring tools
  • Solid project management skills including planning work, managing details, keeping multiple tasks/projects on track, using time well, working with stakeholders, and doing whatever it takes to deliver reliable results
  • Experience working with complex content and designing training for e-Learning modules

Nice To Haves

  • ATD Instructional Design Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partners with business stakeholders to understand program goals and defines the learning solution that will make their programs successful
  • Applies tested instructional design theories, practices and methods
  • Synthesizes and writes course content based on input from subject matter experts, written material, previous training content, etc.
  • Creates focused training content that engages our learners through a variety of learning concepts and modalities along with learning tools, performance support aids, practice tests, online tutorials, and other materials to meet identified needs
  • Designs and develops tests, quizzes, and other assessments to ensure learner understanding and performance
  • Develops multimedia content in conjunction with marketing studio to produce high quality videos to be used in various scenarios for the business
  • Maintains project documentation and course folders along with communication
