About The Position

Summary of Job: The Instructional Designer (eLearning Focus) is responsible for designing and developing high-quality digital learning content across the organization, with a primary focus on building microlearning and eLearning modules using Articulate. This is a highly execution-focused role that works closely with subject matter experts and the Digital Learning Manager to translate real-world training into clear, practical, and engaging digital learning experiences. The role will play a critical part in scaling digital learning by rapidly converting instructor-led and operational training into accessible, field-ready online formats. This position supports a multi-year content development roadmap, contributing to the creation and continuous improvement of learning across technical skills, safety, leadership, and career progression pathways within Lee Company University (LCU).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Learning & Development, Education, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience developing eLearning content
  • Hands-on experience with Articulate Storyline and/or Rise required
  • Solid understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning concepts
  • Ability to take raw, complex, or loosely structured information and turn it into clear, engaging learning experiences
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Strong research, curiosity, and problem-solving skills to uncover nuances and build meaningful content
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills when working with SMEs and stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience converting instructor-led training into eLearning strongly preferred
  • Experience supporting skilled trades, operations, or field-based workforces preferred
