McGraw Hill, a leading provider of digital and print educational resources, is seeking an Instructional Designer, ELA/SLA. This role involves creating robust digital tools, curriculum, and learning solutions for millions of educators and students. The Instructional Designer will be a digital-savvy content and curriculum expert, responsible for assembling high-quality content based on specific product requirements for Literacy programs. This is a remote Project Status Worker (PSW) position with an end date of 4/30/2027, open to applicants authorized to work in the US. The role is part of a collaborative team working on early product development, contributing to implementation models, journey maps, and course maps, with a focus on creating Proofs of Concept (POCs) and prototypes. The position requires designing, storyboarding, and developing digital curriculum assets like videos, eBooks, interactives, simulations, games, and virtual labs through a UBD process. Collaboration extends to concept meetings, manuscript reviews, storyboarding, alpha/beta builds, user testing, and providing informal training to associate instructional designers. Expertise in accessibility and contributions to the product build process are essential. The role also involves managing AD vendors and freelancers, leading workflows, meeting schedules, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure product requirements, schedules, and goals are met. This includes leading digital launches, identifying digital solutions, troubleshooting technical bugs, and defining requirements for platform enhancements. Tasks also include digital product work such as metadata tagging, concept mapping, and digital editing, as well as QAing vendor work.
