About The Position

Motorola Solutions is seeking a dynamic and creative instructional designer/developer to join the Employee & Partner Education division of the Global Education team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining training and documentation for our sales onboarding program. The Global Education department is tasked with creating innovative training strategies and developing technical and end-user training content for the MSI solutions/product portfolio, catering to customers, partners, and employees to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and achieve business outcomes.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of designing and developing training content or related experience
  • Strong aptitude to learn new technology and software quickly and be able to convey the meaning of complex concepts clearly to a broad audience
  • Knowledge of ILT and OLT learning design and development models, adult learning principles, and delivery methods.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a collaborative team-based environment
  • Strong background in Google Suite and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong understanding of content management systems, learning management systems, and technical communication

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in education, adult education, communications, instructional design, instructional technology, curriculum studies, or a related field
  • Knowledge of graphic and video editors such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Indesign, Adobe Premier Pro, Articulate Storyline, and Vyond.
  • Experience in supporting a sales organization or onboarding program
  • Creativity, enthusiasm, drive
  • Self-starter, able to effectively work independently

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain training assets that support sales onboarding with their use of the MSI product suite, including instructor guides, student workbooks, PowerPoints, and a variety of online assets.
  • Write effective instructional content for a variety of deliverables, including lesson plans, guides, and online content.
  • Follow a scalable and repeatable process in the scoping, creation, and maintenance of content.
  • Utilize multimedia elements, simulations, and assessments to enhance the effectiveness of learning materials.
  • Manage and monitor training assets and courses in the LMS.
  • Collaborate with SMEs across the organization in producing high-quality and effective training assets.
  • Stay current on product releases and updates to ensure that enablement content remains technically accurate and aligns with product features and use cases.
  • Work under tight timelines without compromising the quality of work.
  • Learn new technology and software quickly and convey complex concepts clearly to a broad audience.
