About The Position
The Instructional Assistant - Special Education assists assigned teaching personnel in supervising and instructing physically or emotionally handicapped and/or learning-disabled students, and performs classroom clerical tasks in support of the instructional process. The position is primarily based at Truckee Elementary School, though assignment to other schools in the district may occur as needed. The position is for the 2026–2027 school year and works 6 hours per day, 5 days per week. Starting pay is $23.67–$27.71 per hour, plus a $3,000 sign-on bonus paid in $500 increments every six months until the full amount is reached.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Submit a letter of introduction.
- Submit a resume.
- Provide up to three letters of recommendation.
- Pass the TTUSD Paraeducator Exam or provide proof of an associate degree or 48 college semester units; required upon job offer.
- Complete fingerprinting/Livescan; required upon job offer.
- Complete a TB test; required upon job offer.
- High school diploma.
