About The Position

Under the supervision of the Principal, this role assists instructional personnel in reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of students in an assigned classroom or other learning environment. The position may involve providing a variety of instructional and behavior support to individual students one-on-one, assisting in the preparation of instructional materials, and implementing lesson plans. Routine clerical support is also part of the duties.

Requirements

• Graduation from high school.
• Some experience working with children in an educational or organized setting.
• Must be a current employee of the school district and have passed the 6-month probationary period.
• If not currently an IA with IUSD, must provide proof of passage of the CBEST, or proof of an AA degree or higher, or IUSD Proficiency Test with passing scores of 70% in all sections, or ACT Test Scores with at least 23 in Math and 22 in English, or SAT Test Scores with at least 550 Math, 500 English.

• Experience working with individuals with special needs is preferred.
