About The Position

The Zachry Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at Texas A&M University is seeking a full-time Academic Professional Track (Non-Tenure) faculty member to teach undergraduate courses in the Architectural Engineering program. This role involves supporting program development, assessment, and continuous improvement, engaging with industry partners, collaborating with faculty, serving on university committees, and advising/mentoring students. The successful applicant will play a key role in the growth and success of the Architectural Engineering program.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree or a master's degree in architectural engineering, mechanical engineering, engineering mechanics, or a closely related discipline appropriate for the field in which the faculty member will teach.
• Significant teaching experience at the college level in the field or a related field, or an extraordinary record of accomplishment in an applied setting.
• Expertise in teaching fundamental sophomore- and junior-level courses in architectural engineering, particularly in engineering mechanics and thermal-fluid sciences.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively teach courses equivalent to AREN 221 (Engineering Mechanics – Statics and Dynamics for Architectural Engineers), AREN 310 (Thermal-Fluid Sciences I for Architectural Engineers), and AREN 311 (Thermal-Fluid Sciences II for Architectural Engineers).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
