About The Position

This is a part-time, permanent position for an Instructional Assistant II working 6.5 hours per day at Schweitzer School. The role involves working with students in mild/moderate special education programs, including Resource, Learning Handicap, or Communicatively Handicap programs. Typical duties include running small groups, assisting students in large groups in Special Day Class and General Education settings, and supporting teacher needs. Candidates should have a combination of experience and training that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job duties. A valid California Class C Driver License may be required within 30 days of hire.

Possession of, or willingness and ability to obtain a valid California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire or before driving any equipment/vehicle requiring this license.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Passing score from San Juan Unified School District's Proficiency Exam (April 2005 to current) OR Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST).
