About The Position

Instructional Assistant II's work with students served in Resource, Learning Handicap, or Communicatively Handicap programs. This role involves supporting students in both Special Day Class settings and General Education environments, assisting the teacher's needs. The position is permanent, part-time, and located at San Juan High School.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience as detailed in the application.
  • Any combination of experience and training which provides the candidate with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job duties.
  • Must pre-qualify by attaching one documentation [A, B, C, or D item] from the following list: [A] Passing score from SJUSD's Proficiency Exam (testing date must be April 2005 to current). No other school districts proficiency exam accepted.
  • OR [B] Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST).
  • OR [C] OFFICIAL transcripts demonstrating the completion of two years of college (48 semester/60 quarter units).
  • OR [D] Proof of an A.A. degree (or higher).
  • If your degree/transcripts are from a foreign college or university, YOU MUST have coursework evaluated for its equivalency to a degree/transcripts received from an accredited United States college or university.
  • In some programs, possession of, or willingness and ability to obtain a valid California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire or before driving any equipment/vehicle requiring this license.
