About The Position
Assist a certificated teacher in providing instruction to individual students or small groups, and monitor and report student progress. The position is typically at the kindergarten level. This position is 181 days, prorated for the 2026–27 school year, and is 7.5 hours per day. Salary is based on years of experience; the salary schedule and pay breakdown are available on the Henderson County Schools website. New employees’ first paycheck will be September 15, 2026. Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma and the ability to pass the Kentucky Paraeducator Assessment, completion of a minimum of 48 semester hours of study at an institution of higher education, or an associate degree or higher.
- Complete a physical exam and TB risk assessment.
- Complete a CAN check, state and national criminal background checks, and a drug screen.
