About The Position

This is a full-time, permanent position for an Instructional Assistant I at Cambridge Heights Elementary School. The role involves working with groups of children and requires specific qualifications and documentation to pre-qualify. The position is part of the CSEA General Unit Salary Schedule.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with groups of children.
• Attach High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Attach passing score from San Juan Unified School District's Proficiency Exam (April 2005 to current) OR official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST).
• Passing the IA Proficiency Test or having the CBEST is required, regardless of educational background.
• If degree/transcripts are from a foreign college or university, coursework must be evaluated for equivalency to a degree/transcripts from an accredited U.S. college or university.
• Possession of, or willingness and ability to obtain a valid California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire or before driving any equipment/vehicle requiring this license.

• Elementary Instructional Assistant - Calendar 18A - (9 months/year, 206 days/year, 5 days/week)
• Length of Work Day: 6 hours
• Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 2:00 PM
