About The Position

This is a Part Time Instructional Assistant I position at Cowan Elementary School, working 3 hours per day. The role involves supporting instructional activities within the Art/Theater program. The salary ranges from $18.11 to $20.65 per hour. The work year is 9 months, consisting of 206 days per year, 5 days per week. The daily work hours are from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Requirements

Previous experience working with groups of children.
Possession of, or willingness and ability to obtain a valid California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire or before driving any equipment/vehicle requiring this license.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Passing score from San Juan Unified School District's Proficiency Exam (testing date must be April 2005 to current) OR Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST).
Passing the IA Proficiency Test or having the CBEST is required, regardless of educational background.
