About The Position

Under general supervision of assigned manager/supervisor, assists with laboratory preparations, presenting demonstrations, and general instructional activities in the food service laboratory. This position will primarily support faculty and students in the food production management class which runs the Oak Café, a fine dining restaurant. The position will have primary responsibilities supporting the hot line.

Requirements

  • One year of experience in educational or field experience work relating to food services management.
  • Completion of an Associate's Degree in Hospitality Management or 60 semester units (90 quarter units) with 43 units in hospitality management courses.
  • Have an equity-minded focus, responsiveness, and sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, including those with physical or learning disabilities as it relates to differences in learning styles; and successfully foster and support an inclusive educational and employment environment.
  • Education must be from an accredited institution.
