Institutional Trading Services, Manager
About The Position
The Institutional Trading Services Manager is part of Schwab’s Advisor Wealth Services – Trading Services Technology Team, a specialized operations group of institutional trading professionals. The team uses expertise in market mechanics, advanced trading systems, and client-focused service to provide trading solutions for institutional clients and Advisors. The role is intended to be performed on site in the specified location(s). The Manager partners with Advisors by phone and email to support trading allocations and questions, order strategies, and platform capabilities. The role supports the entire order lifecycle, executes trades in various securities, resolves discrepancies, and upholds service standards. It also involves resolving issues, communicating trade status and platform capabilities, training Advisors on Schwab systems, improving workflows, and providing strategic insights on trading and order management.
Requirements
- Series 7 and Series 63 licenses are required.
- 3–5 years of relevant industry experience, including exposure to trading platforms and execution environments.
- Proven experience utilizing Order Management and Execution Management Systems.
- Solid knowledge of equity and option trading, including complex and multi-leg strategies, securities regulations, corporate actions, risk, and market mechanics.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; a background in finance or related fields is preferred.
- Series 24 or Series 9/10 preferred.
