About The Position
FBS Appliance is seeking a skilled and motivated Appliance Installer to install products to the company’s standards. The role involves transporting and delivering appliances, assisting with installations, documenting completed work or obstacles to completion, and leaving jobsites clean. The position offers an opportunity to contribute directly to the company’s growth. Pay is based on experience and licensure status, with a stated hourly range of $21.00 to $28.00. FBS Appliance will train the right candidate. The company offers and pays for relevant certifications, which can result in hourly pay increases once attained. Installers must complete an internal training program that includes JENNAIR, MONOGRAM, Texas Railroad Commission, and Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation certifications. FBS Appliance is an at-will and equal opportunity employer.
Requirements
- Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License.
- Ability to lift heavy objects weighing 50 pounds or more.
- Ability to work in all seasons and weather temperatures.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous appliance installation experience or a relevant license; experience and license are preferred but not required.
- TDLR Residential Appliance Installer license; preferred.
Responsibilities
- Safely drive or ride in a company truck to pickup locations, load appliances, and deliver them to routed addresses.
- Assist with appliance installations while avoiding damage to products or customer or builder property.
- Document installations with notes and pictures, including any obstacles that prevent completion.
- Remove trash from the jobsite and dispose of it properly.
- Upload notes and pictures using an app on a phone.
- Complete the internal training program and required certifications.
Benefits
- FBS Appliance will offer and pay for Texas Railroad Commission and manufacturer certifications; after certification, pay increases by $1.00 per hour.
- FBS Appliance will offer and pay for a TDLR license and manufacturer certification; after certification, pay increases by $2.00 per hour.
