About The Position

HouseSmart Construction is seeking an Installer I for a hands-on, outdoor position. This role is ideal for someone with a can-do attitude who wants to learn and grow in the construction industry. No experience is required to start a construction career with HouseSmart Construction. The Installer I will be involved in the setup of all manufactured homes, working as a team player with the Crew Chief and team. Responsibilities include removing protective shipping wrap, removing and storing exterior use items like shingles, and assisting with the removal of tires, axles, and tongues (which can weigh up to 50 lbs). The role also involves traveling to home sites to assist with necessary construction activities, loading and unloading materials, keeping tools and trucks organized, helping install vapor barriers beneath the home, gathering materials for piers, and assisting with masonry work underneath the homes.

Requirements

Enjoy working with your hands and being outdoors
Interested in starting a career in construction
Ability to climb ladders, crawl underneath homes and lift up to 50 lbs
Positive attitude and always work to be a team player
Comfortable with the use of hand/power tools such as hammers, levels, drills and an impact wrench

Responsibilities

Work as a team player by helping the Crew Chief and team
Remove protective shipping wrap from home
Remove and properly store exterior use items like shingles under the leadership of our experienced team members
Work with the team to help remove tires, axles, and tongues which can weigh up to 50 lbs
Travel to each home site and assist the team necessary construction activities
Load and unload materials, and keeping the tools & trucks organized
Help installer vapor barriers beneath the home
Gather materials for beginning piers and help build them
Masonry work underneath the homes
