About The Position

Franklin Building Supply is a 100% Employee Owned lumber and building material company that has been in business for over 45 years, with locations across Idaho and Nevada. They supply a wide range of building materials and also install products such as framing, overhead doors, insulation, gutters, and siding. Additionally, they manufacture trusses, cabinets, doors, and granite countertops, primarily serving professional home builders. This position's primary purpose is to perform warranty and repair work for the Installed Framing and Installed Door/Trim departments.

Requirements

  • Construction experience in framing or finish work.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, be patient with distractions, and manage time effectively.
  • Willingness to be versatile, understand, and follow directions.
  • Devotion to growing a knowledge base.
  • Possess a good attitude, be dependable, trustworthy, and respectful.
  • Self-motivated and possess stamina and focus to perform outstanding work consistently.
  • Interest in continuously improving processes, efficiency, and quality.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Perform warranty and repair work for the Installed Framing and Installed Door/Trim departments.
  • Troubleshoot and correct door and trim problems.
  • Troubleshoot and correct framing problems.
  • Perform warranty work in customer-occupied and unoccupied homes.
  • Complete framing repairs.
  • Complete door and trim repairs, such as door adjustments.
  • Assist project managers where needed.
  • Interact professionally with homeowners and builders.
  • Be flexible and efficient in a fast-paced and constantly changing work environment.
  • Communicate clearly with customers, homeowners, co-workers, and management.
  • Prioritize tasks, be patient with distractions, and manage time effectively.
  • Be versatile, understand, and follow directions.
  • Devote to growing a knowledge base.
  • Continuously improve processes, efficiency, and quality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
