About The Position

Bluewater Technologies Group, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Installation Technician to assist with the successful installation of audiovisual systems. This full-time position is based in Indianapolis, Indiana, and offers on-the-job training. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with overtime pay when applicable; weekend and holiday work may be requested. The role is part of the Integration team and reports to the Installation Supervisor.

Requirements

Detail-oriented and dependable.
Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time management.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Suite.
Ability to excel in a fast-paced and challenging work environment.
Comfortable working in a stressful atmosphere.
Flexibility to work extended hours, including nights and weekends, and occasional travel.

Responsibilities

Study to read Bluewater construction and AV flow prints.
Learn cable-pulling techniques, including following pull schedules, establishing cable paths, labeling, taping, creating service loops, fishing cable down walls, pulling cable through conduit, and installing and bundling cable in cable trays.
Learn to distinguish wire types, uses, and colors.
Train to use ladders, lifts, and power tools safely as required by OSHA.
Develop skills to mount displays, projectors, speakers, screens, and cameras on walls and ceilings.
Learn to cut in wall plates, touch panels, and ceiling tiles.
Learn to terminate wire types and connectors by compression, crimping, soldering, or punch-down.
Perform other duties as assigned.
