Glass Installation Technician-Entry Level
About The Position
MY Shower Door is hiring an entry-level Glass Installation Technician to install custom frameless glass shower enclosures in residential homes. The company provides in-house, hands-on training and mentorship for coachable candidates with mechanical aptitude or experience in related trades. Technicians work in pairs, install and finish glass enclosures, interact professionally with homeowners, and follow company safety and quality standards. This is a full-time, field-based role with consistent work and opportunities for skill-based pay progression and career advancement.
Requirements
- Be reliable, punctual, and eager to learn.
- Be comfortable using hand and power tools.
- Be able to add and subtract fractions and use a tape measure accurately.
- Be physically capable of lifting heavy materials, bending, kneeling, climbing, squatting, and standing for extended periods.
- Be team-oriented and take pride in craftsmanship and detail.
- Be willing to follow directions, ask questions, and continuously improve.
- Be comfortable interacting professionally with customers.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in carpentry, tile, drywall, plumbing, remodeling, or general handyman work.
- Understanding of construction finishing or remodeling.
- Familiarity with levels, caulking techniques, and power tools.
- Previous experience working at residential job sites or in customer-facing roles.
Responsibilities
- Install custom frameless glass shower enclosures with precision and care.
- Work as part of a two-person team to complete on-site installations.
- Explain the installation to customers and answer their questions respectfully.
- Use tools such as drills, levels, suction cups, and measuring tapes.
- Safely lift and maneuver glass panels weighing up to 100 pounds.
- Apply caulking and ensure watertight, seamless finishes.
- Maintain a clean and protected work area in customers' homes.
- Follow company safety and quality standards on every job.
