About The Position

SoundWaves is seeking a Low-Voltage Installation Technician for high-end residential AV, lighting, shading, and control systems. This is a full-time position with opportunities for overtime, working Monday through Friday from 7:00/7:30 am to 4:00/4:30 pm. The role involves hands-on work in the field, pulling and terminating low-voltage cabling, mounting devices, building equipment racks, and configuring various control systems. The ideal candidate is technically inclined, has experience on construction sites, and possesses a strong work ethic and high emotional intelligence.

Requirements

• Experience on construction sites
• Ability to climb ladders, pull cabling, use power tools & hand tools
• Steady work history (3yrs between hops)
• Pleasant disposition, High EQ
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to pass a criminal background check

Responsibilities

• Pull/Terminate/Test Low-Voltage Cabling (Category, Fiber, Speaker, Lutron, Crestron)
• Mount devices at the ends of those wires
• Build and lace equipment racks
• Advanced setup and configuration of devices
• Programming (Control4, Savant, Lutron, Crestron, Nice)
• Understanding of networks
• Troubleshooting of devices
• Train client on system operation
