About The Position

Safe Haven Security is hiring an Installation Technician / Security Advisor to install, service, and troubleshoot residential alarm and automation systems. The role focuses on ensuring security systems function properly and perform optimally, while providing customers with reliable service and peace of mind. The technician also consults with customers about their needs, recommends security solutions, and teaches them how to use their systems. The position includes completing installation and service documentation and keeping current with security systems, emerging technologies, and industry standards.

Requirements

Ability to obtain or possess the basic tools needed for the job.
Proficiency in installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining security alarm systems, including control panels, sensors, cameras, and related equipment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for professional, courteous customer interactions and clear instruction.
Ability to efficiently diagnose and resolve technical issues using problem-solving skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.

Responsibilities

Install residential security alarm systems, including control panels, sensors, cameras, and related equipment.
Conduct sales consultations to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate security solutions.
Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
Test installed security systems, confirm that components function correctly, and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
Educate customers on system use and functionality and address their questions or concerns.
Complete installation reports, service tickets, and inventory records accurately and keep documentation up to date.
Stay informed about security alarm systems, emerging technologies, and industry standards.
