About The Position

Safe Haven Security is hiring an Installation Technician / Security Advisor to install, service, and troubleshoot residential alarm and automation systems. The role focuses on ensuring security systems function properly and perform optimally, while providing customers with protection and peace of mind. The technician also consults with customers about their security needs and helps them understand how to operate their systems. Requirements

Possess or be able to obtain the basic tools necessary for the job duties.
Be proficient in installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining security alarm systems, including control panels, sensors, cameras, and related equipment.
Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact professionally and courteously with customers, provide clear instructions, and address questions or concerns.
Be able to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently, using problem-solving skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.

Responsibilities

Install security alarm systems, including control panels, sensors, cameras, and related equipment.
Consult with customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate security solutions.
Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues with customers’ security alarm systems, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
Test installed security systems to verify components function correctly and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
Educate customers on using their security alarm systems and help them feel confident operating the equipment.
Complete installation reports, service tickets, and inventory records accurately and keep documentation up to date.
Stay informed about security alarm systems, emerging technologies, and industry standards.
