About The Position

The Journeyman Installer constructs, assembles, installs, repairs, and modifies custom storage systems and accessories using provided designs and components, including laminate wood, edge-banding, hardware, and other materials. The role performs intermediate-level installations using established techniques, independently completes standard installations and moderately complex projects, and contributes to quality project completion and positive customer experiences. The Journeyman Installer continues to develop advanced installation skills and product knowledge and supports Apprentices as needed. The position performs skilled and semi-skilled carpentry work on residential and commercial storage solutions such as closets, cabinetry, home offices, pantries, and garages. Installers use company-provided CAD drawings, blueprints, and specifications; measure, cut, fit, and assemble materials; and inspect finished work. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with a pay range of $24–$27 per hour. The work location is 701 N Del Norte Blvd, Oxnard, CA 93030. Transportation from the company location to and from customer job sites, tools, and PPE are provided.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least one year of installation, carpentry, cabinetry, construction, or related experience.
Completion of Jr. Apprentice, Apprentice, and Journeyman Installer certifications, as determined by leadership.
Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record under company requirements.
Successful completion of background and motor vehicle record checks, where applicable.

Responsibilities

Install custom storage systems and accessories, including closets, cabinetry, home offices, pantries, garages, and other residential or commercial organization solutions.
Use company-provided CAD drawings, blueprints, and installation specifications to complete installations accurately and efficiently.
Apply Junior- and Apprentice-level installation procedures and product knowledge while developing advanced installation skills.
Install locking corner shelves, hampers, fillers, scribe mold, and other standard accessories according to company specifications.
Install, adjust, and align doors, drawer stacks, shelving systems, and related hardware.
Install Fusion Slatwall systems, floor-based systems, and other standard product applications.
Install basic countertops, islands, backing materials, flat trim, base trim, and top trim components.
Measure, cut, fit, and assemble materials to achieve quality installations and finished appearances.
Identify and communicate field conditions or installation obstacles that may affect project completion, and work with senior team members to resolve issues.
Inspect completed work and make adjustments or corrections to maintain quality standards.
Review project paperwork with customers and collect payment when required.
Provide assistance and informal guidance to Apprentice Installers while modeling safe and effective installation practices.
Safely operate and maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles, and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns.
Drive to and from customer locations in accordance with company vehicle and safety policies.
Communicate professionally with customers, team members, designers, and management about project status and installation requirements.
