About The Position
One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning is hiring an HVAC Install Helper / Install Apprentice in Kill Devil Hills, NC. We’re looking for reliable, motivated individuals who want to learn a skilled trade and grow with a trusted HVAC company. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in the HVAC trade while gaining hands-on experience working alongside experienced installers in the Outer Banks.
Requirements
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Interest in pursuing a long-term HVAC career
- Ability to work outdoors and in attics/crawlspaces
- Physically able to lift and carry HVAC equipment and materials
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check
Nice To Haves
- Any experience in construction, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or mechanical work
- Familiarity with hand and power tools
Responsibilities
- Assist lead installers with HVAC system installations (such as air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces, ductwork, etc.)
- Load, unload, and organize tools, materials, and equipment
- Assist with ductwork, basic wiring, and mechanical setup under supervision
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites
- Follow safety guidelines and company procedures
- Communicate respectfully with homeowners and team members
