About The Position

One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning is hiring an HVAC Install Helper / Install Apprentice in Kill Devil Hills, NC. This role is for reliable, motivated individuals who want to learn a skilled trade and grow with a trusted HVAC company. It offers an excellent opportunity to build a long-term career in the HVAC trade while gaining hands-on experience working alongside experienced installers in the Outer Banks.

Requirements

• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Interest in pursuing a long-term HVAC career
• Ability to work outdoors and in attics/crawlspaces
• Physically able to lift and carry HVAC equipment and materials
• Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to pass a background check

Nice To Haves

• Any experience in construction, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or mechanical work
• Familiarity with hand and power tools

Responsibilities

• Assist lead installers with HVAC system installations (such as air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces, ductwork, etc.)
• Load, unload, and organize tools, materials, and equipment
• Assist with ductwork, basic wiring, and mechanical setup under supervision
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites
• Follow safety guidelines and company procedures
• Communicate respectfully with homeowners and team members
