About The Position
Doncasters is seeking an Inspector to join their team in Newberry, SC. This role involves using tools to remove excess metal from parts and inspecting them according to customer specifications. Non-conforming parts will be identified for disposition. The company manufactures complex precision cast components for aerospace engines and industrial gas turbines, supporting leading OEM programs. Requirements
- Certified NDT FPI Level 1
- Ambitious and committed
- Ability to pass a visual acuity test
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Firm understanding of gauging and measuring equipment
- Attention to detail
- Ability to multitask
- Communication skills
- Organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Using a file or pencil grinder to move flash or excess metal.
- Placing parts on a lower conveyor to move to the darkroom.
- Placing non-conforming parts on red trays for disposition.
- Receiving parts from the top conveyor and inspecting per customer specifications.
