About The Position

The In-Line Inspector is responsible for the inspection of all products and raw materials, under the direction of the Business Unit or Cell Lead with technical direction from the Quality Assurance Manager. This is a hands-on role in a manufacturing setting and is ideal for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to a high-performing team.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time bases without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • High school or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience in Quality Control function in a commercial or Aerospace environment
  • Must be able to understand and follow instructions in English.
  • Must be able to understand and interpret blueprints and engineering sketches.
  • Ability to perform simple layout inspections.
  • Must have demonstrated mechanical ability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft WORD and EXCEL
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear communication (oral and written) skills
  • Ability to keep accurate records
  • Ability to follow documented procedures, work instructions and customer required records.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision

Responsibilities

  • Inspect products using various inspection gages, coordinate measuring machine (CMM), scales, and visual inspection prior to product shipment
  • Variable data collection and completion of inspection records
  • Reconcile final inspection documentation for shipments
  • Examine material or product for surface defects such as cracks, pits, and other surface irregularities.
  • Compare product with applicable parts list or sample model to ensure completion of assembly.
  • Verifies dimensional compliance of all products with drawing and customer requirements.
  • Authority to reject nonconforming products and stop production of such as needed.
  • Documents nonconforming product with NMR process.
  • Performs in-process inspection and testing of products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with all applicable mechanical and process related requirements.
  • Observes all Company policies, rules, and regulations including good housekeeping, safety and security.
