GE Aerospace is hiring an Inspector for its Cincinnati Aviation Component Service Center, which develops and conducts repairs on engine components across 29 engine models. The Inspector performs incoming, in-process, and final visual and dimensional inspections throughout the Service Shop in accordance with FAA manuals and regulations. The role includes functional testing of aircraft components, plate layout of incoming materials when needed, verification of test setups, and verification of parts and processes using appropriate inspection techniques and equipment. The Inspector generates release-to-service certifications as required, maintains relevant records, maps work scope, completes component data sheets, quotes applicable repairs, and serves as the point of contact for quality concerns. The role may also involve directing, training, or instructing others. This position is for the second shift and may involve high-risk or hazardous operations or work beyond a standard workweek. Candidates must pass an Inspector written and functional test and be at least 18 by the time they join. The role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information, so employment is contingent on demonstrating U.S. Person status as specified in the posting. GE Aerospace also requires legal authorization to work in the United States and makes offers contingent on successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable; employees may be subject to random and reasonable-suspicion drug and alcohol testing.
