About The Position

This Opportunity WSP is currently initiating a search for a Construction Inspector for our Pittsburgh, PA office. Your Impact Job Description: Provides field measurements and reports for payment quantities and changes in the work Reads and interprets drawings, specifications, and standards Inspects various facets of work on the construction site for compliance with plans, specifications, and appropriate standards Observes general job safety practices and enforces contractor's safety plan Comply with client policies and procedures for inspection of work under contract Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High school graduate
  • Three years experience or bachelor's degree in civil engineering or closely related field
  • Makes contract payments for review and approval
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
  • Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with PennDOT, Allegheny County, and/or Port Authority of Allegheny County preferred
  • Any Level NICET certification
  • Current NECEPT-Bituminous and ACI/PennDOT Concrete field technician
  • PennDOT ECMS or PA Turnpike Kahua
