About The Position

Isola is hiring an Inspector for its Ridgeway, South Carolina location. The role supports material breakdown, inspection, packaging, shipping preparation, and inventory tracking. The schedule is 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.; extended shifts and weekend work are required. Compensation is $19.75 per hour.

Requirements

Manufacturing or warehouse experience.
Experience using a computer.
Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment.
Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and background report.
Strong English verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per shift, frequently bend, reach, and grasp, and lift, pull, or push up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Remove top plates from each book in a timely manner to assist the breakdown operation.
Build and count Kraft paper, parchment paper, and used Kraft paper to make the standard cushion package for the book.
Verify the work order and ensure the selected material matches.
Inspect material to ensure it is cut according to the customer’s request and work order.
Determine whether packaging requires specific shipping provisions, such as temperature data loggers, ice, or weight limitations.
Box and prepare prepreg according to order quantity; stage appropriately sized boxes and cut them down as necessary.
Create shipping and packing labels in SAP and box wrapped materials to complete orders.
Verify label information and attach material and customer address labels to boxes; prepare boxes with packaging, banding, and protective reinforcement.
Weigh and record packaging weights for shipping documents as required.
Accurately transact material in and out of the SAP inventory tracking system and report material discrepancies.
Perform other duties within the scope of work as assigned.
