About The Position

The Inspector is responsible for final and in-process inspection, packaging, and proper labeling of stock and custom products produced in the department. The role includes interpreting work orders, production engineering blueprints, specifications, quads, and drawing appendix information; preparing inspected products for shipment; and delivering finished orders to finished goods. The Inspector also operates and troubleshoots automatic turret rewind and packaging equipment, records required process data, manages packaging supplies, and maintains an orderly work area. Duties are performed with minimal supervision and must meet department standards for quantity, quality, and timeliness, as well as company standards for attendance and punctuality. Other duties may be assigned by a supervisor or manager.

Responsibilities

Perform in-process and final inspections of stock and custom label products.
Package and properly label products according to specifications and shipment requirements.
Read and interpret work orders, production engineering blueprints, specifications, quads, and drawing appendix information.
Set up, operate, and troubleshoot automatic turret rewind and packaging equipment.
Accurately record required data electronically or manually.
Package and move orders efficiently and deliver inspected, packaged products to finished goods.
Manage and stock packaging supplies and maintain department supplies at an optimal level.
Use computer programs and systems to create labels, execute transactions, send emails, and enter process data.
Maintain the work area through good housekeeping practices.
Perform daily duties with minimal supervision and meet department performance standards for quantity, quality, and timeliness.
Maintain attendance and punctuality at or above company standards.
Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor or manager.
