Inspector, QC
About The Position
Performs inspection and testing of purchased materials, components, and products in accordance with established policies and procedures. Provides technical inspection support to Supplier Quality Engineering. The role includes visual, dimensional, and functional inspection; recording inspection and test data; operating test and measurement equipment; supporting validation and qualification activities; and assisting with inspection procedures and requirements. The position is a six-month contract based in Westford, Massachusetts, with a Monday through Friday schedule from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM and a pay rate of $18.50 per hour on W2.
Responsibilities
- Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspection and testing according to documented policies and procedures.
- Record inspection and test data as instructed by written procedures.
- Operate associated test and measurement equipment according to instructions and procedures.
- Support validation and qualification activities.
- Develop and recommend changes to inspection procedures, policies, and inspection requirements.
- Apply SAP proficiency to incoming material QC requirements.
- Collect and analyze data for First Article inspections.
- Perform testing and inspection in response to special test requests.
- Contribute to selection of test and measurement equipment.
- Interface with suppliers in support of material quality and technical inspection.
- May train other inspection staff in equipment use.
- Assist in gathering, analyzing, and trending data.
- Perform miscellaneous work as required.
