About The Position
The Inspector Packer I is a seasonal position lasting a few months in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role helps ensure finished products meet quality standards by inspecting products and packages, performing scheduled quality checks, and operating machinery according to standard procedures. The available shift is 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with mandatory overtime currently in effect. Dart Container makes food and beverage packaging products and is a family-owned, family-focused company with 12,000 employees, 30 locations in three countries, and headquarters in Mason, Michigan.
Requirements
- Ability to meet safety and quality standards.
- Ability to observe, follow, understand, and evaluate demonstrated processes and other workplace procedures.
- Minimum proficiency in English to support effective new-hire training and ongoing communication about safety and quality issues.
Responsibilities
- Inspect finished products and verify package counts.
- Tape boxes and manually transfer products to the stacking area.
- Assemble flat cardboard into boxes for shipping products.
- Perform quality checks at scheduled intervals.
- Start and stop machinery according to standard operating procedures.
