The Transportation Services Division’s Maintenance and Delivery Contract Development, Delivery, and Inspections Unit (CDDI) and Street Permit Utility Management Unit is seeking Inspectors Municipal Construction to join the division. This is an exciting time to join Transportation Services, which is leading the transformation of Toronto’s road operations. The Divisions’ major initiatives include road, sidewalk, and bikeway repairs, capital construction contract development, delivery, inspection, complaint resolution, and utility coordination and oversight. CDDI The CDDI unit is at the forefront of delivering operating and capital programs with a strong focus on cost efficiency, sustainability, equity, and multi-modal transportation solutions. Utility Management The Utility Management unit oversees utility activity in the right-of-way, delivering essential services to residents while protecting public infrastructure and supporting responsive service delivery. Reporting to Supervisor of Maintenance Contract Inspections, the Inspector Municipal Construction is responsible for the inspection and monitoring of construction and maintenance work of contractors engaged for municipal infrastructure contracts including utilities for conformance to specifications, contract documents, drawings and safety standards.
